For a town it's size, the Village of Lake Linden boasts a wide array of recreational activities and even more recreational options are available within a short drive.  In addition to the 200-acre Village Park, which has a marina with boat launch, campground, 18-hole disc golf course, nature trail, basketball and tennis courts, swimming beach, large playground area, horseshoe pits and baseball field - the surrounding area has two ski resorts, hundreds of miles of snowmobile/RV trails, boating and fishing on inland lakes with access to Lake Superior, and two nearby universities - Michigan Tech University and Finlandia University - have full complements of sports teams and events highlighted by the Michigan Tech huskies Division I hockey program.
