The Village of Lake Linden is located in the Keweenaw Peninsula in the northwest part of Michigan's Upper Peninsula.  The Village is 10 miles north of the cities of Houghton/Hancock, the largest population centers in the area.  Other places of note near Lake Linden are Michigan Technological University (Houghton, 10 miles), Finlandia University (Hancock, 9 miles), Isle Royale National Park, and the Keweenaw National Park,
