Government of Lake Linden
The Village of Lake Linden is a General Law Village incorporated in 1885. and is governed by the General Law Village Act of 1895. The Village Council consists of six trustees elected to four years terms and a Village President, elected separately for two-year terms. There are three department heads that report directly to the Council; the Village Clerk, responsible for administration and finances; Public Works Director, responsible for streets, maintenance and water system, and the Chief of Police, who runs the Lake Linden Police Department. Lake Linden is a member of the Michigan Municipal League. Copies of the Village Charter are available upon request from the Village Clerk's office.
